Sheri's
passion, from the age of four, has always been art. At
12 she began working with Ted Fogel, impasto master, in
the style of the Renaissance artists. By age 14 she
shocked her teacher with a replica of Sir Thomas
Lawrence's Calmady Children, a masterpiece that resides
in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
In March 2005 Sheri painted a mural
onsite at the New York City Art Expo, and was discovered
by Audrey Roberts, founder of ARTV. Sheri is one of
three artists in the United States that has been
nominated for an award for her Fine Art Murals. She
painted live at the West Coast Premier of the ARTV
Awards in Hollywood, California July 14, 2005. The
awards ceremony was the first ever Academy Award-style,
red carpet event , filmed and produced by the MGM Grand
in Las Vegas, NV October 28, 2005. The ARTV Awards are a
sanctioned event coinciding with Las Vegas' Centennial
and will be aired on National Television.
Sheri has submitted her painting
Angels to the Smithsonian's Outwin Boochever Portrait
Competition 2006. She was a guest on Good Day New York,
Across the Hudson, and Dorothy Dunne's Lifestyle
Program, and her work has been seen in several trade
magazines. North Light Publishing commissioned a future
book on her techniques, and she is a member of the many
organizations including the Art Renewal Center. Later
this year Sheri joins Royal Caribbean Lines as an Expert
Speaker.
