Born
and raised in West Virginia, Margo graduated from
Michigan State College in 1970 with a degree in Medical
Technology. Working in this field for 13 years, she then
changed 'needles' and opened her first fabric store in
1983. She currently owns a brick and mortar/web business
called ReproductionFabrics.com.
In 1996, Margo returned to college,
pursuing extended studies in history at Montana State
University and textile/quilt history with professors
from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the
University of Rhode Island. In 1997, she acquired the
amazing early 19th Century Dargate Book, full of more
than 2100 vintage fabric sample, many from which she
draws her inspiration for her fabric designs.
Margo calls Bozeman, Montana her home
when she is not lecturing and teaching on textile
history around the country. |
